The deadline for comments on China New Chemical Substance Regulation Draft is approaching

Finally on July 9, 2019, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China issued <Provision on the Environmental Administration of New Chemical Substances> (revised draft for comments) and began to solicit opinions publicly. The deadline for comments is August 16, 2019. The revised draft mainly follows the principle of streamlining administration and delegating power and problem-oriented. On the premise of ensuring environmental risk controllability, it optimizes and adjusts the application types, reduces the requirements of registration data, optimizes the reporting requirements after registration, improves the procedures for listing inventory, and centralizes the control of new chemicals with high environmental risk.
